I made it to India but my suitcase decided to stay in Paris...fml
Bet you havent checked that website in a while! Either way guess it didnt get the memo that we were getting on another plane to Bangalore. But regardless Im here and Im ok and Im sweating like a dog! Jet lag isnt too bad and Im working on my comprehension skills to get over thick accents here. In addition, in the last 15 hours that Ive been here, I have managed to get one mosquito bite (while still in the airport of all places!!) and contemplate the probability of me getting hit by a car here (just kidding mom&dad...sort of). I mean if it happened in Italy, Id say the chances of it happening here might be a bit higher you know with all the crazy drivers and nobody staying in lanes or signalling and remembering that cars drive on the opposite side of the road when I look both ways before crossing the street and running for dear life. Lucky for me though I think a smart solution would be to get one of those toddler leash-backpacks to serve as my replacement handbag AND a safety mechanism for somebody to pull me out of a car's/rickshaw/motorcycles path. I'll do my best to stay in one piece, the last thing I want to experience is another collision with a moving vehicle. So on that note, Im off to a nap and then to see what shops are like and make my first attempt at crossing a busy street in India!
