The Last of the Mohicans
Or the Lone Ranger, whatever you would like to call it, I am the last remaining person from Cornell and pretty much in the entire hostel, which makes life kind of boring when I get back at 8 pm and have nobody to talk to. By talk to, I really mean complain to, even though it wouldnt really be me complaining but actually whining about long hours and telling anecdotal stories about my day to day life. Ive got quite the collection by now if youre interested, but these my friends are much better in person than over a blog post.
My internship is winding down, Im dreading packing, and will frantically be going around the city tomorrow to get my ayurvedic massage treatments, find something to give my boss, and of course last minute impulse shopping for myself.
In all honesty Im drained. I dont understand how Indians can go through a 6 day work week and what seems to me as never really "rest" on Sunday, their one day off. Unless its just me and I havent really had the chance to have one day to do nothing this entire summer. It in tents. At this point Im counting on my long flight home as catch up time for sleep plus whatever extra bit I can get trying to get over the jet lag I will inevitably have.
Thank god for yoga though and its miraculous effects, I think its been the one thing thats kept me sane and able to function continuously like this for the past 3 months. However, for the Indians, I think its the extra two pounds of rice and carbs they eat that keeps them going and why they also give me stares and tell me to eat more when I refuse to have a HUGE mountain of rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Oh how I look forward for the coming and going of the next 5 or so days depending on what part of the world youre in at the time of reading this to go home for some non Indian food (not that I havent enjoyed it, I just need a change of palate).
And with all that said, it is way too late for me to be up (1030 is a stretch at my pseudo-elderly state of being) and need to get some shut eye, so to all a good night!

All Kinds of Wonderful
This weekend, I took two days off from work and actually went on vacation. It was glorious and as badass, I mean how great is it to tell somebody you went to the southern tip of India and can point to it on a map?? Well from experience, its fantastic. You should go there (its called Kanyakumari FYI) and then get the great feeling of saying look where I went!
And there it is/was considering Im no longer sitting on the edge of the rocks that go out there but the picture of it is currently filling your eyes with amazement behind your computer screen.
Last weekend was a great way to wind down India and now I can start getting ready to come home in 10 days. Shall I repeat? 10 DAYS!!
But really, it was incredibly peaceful and the most beautiful place Ive seen. To my knowledge the sunrise here at 530 cant be matched.
Here it comes!
